Elyas Yakub Abowath, aged 36, tragically lost his life on August 8, 1985, in Diamond Bar, California. Elyas was a victim of the notorious serial killer Richard Ramirez, also known as "The Night Stalker." On that fateful night, Ramirez broke into the Abowath family home located at 21303 Pinehill Lane. He entered the master bedroom where Elyas was sleeping and shot him in the head with a .25-caliber handgun, instantly killing him.
