On January 7, 2023, 34-year-old Britney Anderson Watson from Whiteville, Tennessee, was reported missing after last being seen between 12 p.m. and 1 p.m. at 3317 Hillville Loop. Her truck was later found with a flat tire off Exit 52.
Authorities identified her ex-husband, Kevin Watson, as a suspect in her disappearance. His truck was discovered abandoned in the Big Eddy area, containing a note suggesting he might be armed and suicidal.
