The young Black girl was reportedly in a car when she was fatally shot in the head. The shooting spree was a
result of domestic violence. Among the other victims were Tori's mother, Lateisha Bobo, and another relative, Ruby Manuel. The suspect was quickly identified by authorities as 52-year-old Mavis Christian Jr., a relative of the victims. His actions prompted an intense and widespread manhunt that put the city on edge for several hours as law enforcement worked to locate and apprehend him.
