On January 14, 2024, in Dayton, Tennessee, seven-year-old Jo'zie Shane Brown was fatally shot at his residence on Upper Fine Lane. Following the incident, family members transported him to Rhea County Medical Center, where he was stabilized before being transferred to Children's Hospital in Chattanooga. Tragically, Jo'zie succumbed to his injuries the following day.
