In the early morning hours of January 22, 2024, a residence in North Knoxville became the scene of a fatal confrontation. Inside the home on Chesswood Drive, a dispute between two men who were known to each other escalated, resulting in the death of 47-year-old Benjamin Vellines, a White/Caucasian male.
