An adored Chicago teacher is killed by a stray bullet while walking to dinner with her husband Cynthia Trevillion, a 63-year-old teacher at the Chicago Waldorf School, was tragically killed on October 13, 2017, in Chicago’s Rogers Park neighborhood. As she was walking to a nearby Chicago Transit Authority station around 6:30 p.m., Trevillion was struck by a stray bullet during a drive-by shooting. The gunfire came from an SUV involved in a gang-related incident in the area. Trevillion, who was not the intended target, was hit in the head and later pronounced dead at a hospital.
