On July 25, 2024, 51-year-old Clinton Allen Lovingood was fatally shot at his residence on Maples Road in Seymour, Tennessee. The Blount County Sheriff's Office reported that Lovingood had called 911 to request law enforcement assistance regarding a disturbance between him and his roommate, 40-year-old Robert P. Berry. During the call, dispatchers heard a loud noise, which was later identified as the gunshot that killed Lovingood.
