On January 6, 2023, at approximately 4:35 p.m., authorities responded to a welfare check at an apartment in the 500 block of Broadway Boulevard in Pitcairn, Pennsylvania. A concerned family member, unable to reach the occupants, had forced entry into the residence and discovered two individuals with gunshot wounds. The victims were identified as 20-year-old Jade Shatara Baker-Wright and 21-year-old Andre Johnson, both residents of Pitcairn.
