On the evening of March 15, 2023, in Long Pond, Pennsylvania, 59-year-old Diane Strohl was fatally shot during a domestic altercation. The incident occurred at the residence of her daughter's fiancé, 43-year-old Damien Hoehler, with whom Strohl had been living to assist with family matters.
According to reports, Hoehler had been consuming alcohol throughout the day and became increasingly agitated. He allegedly brandished a firearm, threatening other occupants of the home, including Strohl and her daughter's boyfriend.
