On May 21, 2023, at approximately 5:15 p.m., a tragic shooting occurred in the 4000 block of Steltz Road in Shrewsbury Township, York County, Pennsylvania. Alexander M. Thomas, a 23-year-old resident of Shrewsbury Borough, was found deceased at the scene from gunshot wounds to the torso. A 38-year-old woman from New Freedom was also injured in the incident and transported to a local hospital; her condition was not disclosed.
