On October 26, 2023, at approximately 11:16 p.m., 46-year-old Legious R. Minder Sr. was fatally shot in the parking lot of Chubby's Market, located at 154 W. St. Joseph’s Street on Easton's South Side. Minder, who was reportedly selling t-shirts at the time, was transported to a local hospital where he succumbed to his injuries. The Northampton County Coroner's office ruled the death a homicide.
In the initial aftermath, authorities believed the suspect fled the scene in a silver Chevrolet Traverse, possibly heading north on St. John’s Street. The Easton Police Department considered the shooting to be targeted. Despite early efforts, the suspect remained unidentified and at large in the days following the incident.
Subsequent investigations led to significant developments. On July 10, 2024, law enforcement arrested 34-year-old Philadelphia resident, Kameron Barnes Nuble, charging him with homicide and conspiracy to commit homicide in connection with Minder's death. Nuble was apprehended at his Philadelphia home with assistance from the Philadelphia Police Department's Homicide Fugitive Task Force and SWAT team. During an October preliminary hearing, sufficient evidence, including surveillance footage and cell phone location data, was presented, leading the court to order Nuble to stand trial.
Further progress was made on December 17, 2024, when a second individual, 34-year-old Rasheed Quayle Tisdale, also from Philadelphia, was arrested and charged with homicide and conspiracy to commit homicide in Minder's case. Tisdale's arrest was executed by Easton police in collaboration with Philadelphia law enforcement agencies. He is expected to undergo a preliminary arraignment, with authorities indicating plans to request that he be held without bail.
These arrests mark significant milestones in the ongoing investigation into the tragic death of Legious R. Minder Sr., as authorities continue to seek justice for the victim and his family.
