In the early evening of Monday, February 12, 2024, the life of 36-year-old Anthony Brown was tragically cut short. A Black male, Brown was discovered inside a black 2018 KIA Sorento on the 4300 block of Bermuda Street in Philadelphia. It was approximately 6:37 p.m. when Philadelphia Police officers were dispatched to the location following a report of a person with a gun.
Upon their arrival, officers found Brown inside the vehicle suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.
In a critical effort to save his life, the officers placed him in their patrol vehicle and rushed him to Temple University Hospital. Despite the urgent medical attention he received, Anthony Brown succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead later that night.
Residing on Tasker Street in Norwood, Pennsylvania, Brown's death has left a void in the lives of his loved ones. The circumstances that led to the fatal shooting remain unclear, and the investigation into his death is ongoing. To date, no arrests have been made in connection with the homicide, and authorities have not publicly identified any suspects. The Philadelphia Police Department continues to seek information from the public to help bring those responsible for Anthony Brown's death to justice.
