On April 6, 2024, in Philadelphia's Germantown neighborhood, 3-year-old Kayden Barnes tragically lost her life after accidentally shooting herself in the right eye with her father's unsecured firearm. The incident occurred around 1:15 p.m. at their residence on the 500 block of East Chelten Avenue. Both parents were present at the time.
