Death by Force

On May 17, 2024, in Collingdale, Pennsylvania, 16-year-old Darell S. McCurry was fatally shot just days before his 17th birthday. The incident occurred around 4:15 p.m. on the 100 block of Lafayette Avenue, where Darell sustained a gunshot wound to the torso. Another teenage male was also injured, suffering a gunshot wound to the foot. Both victims were transported to Crozer-Chester Medical Center, where Darell succumbed to his injuries.
