On March 21, 2023, 35-year-old Victoria Oxendine of Saint Pauls, North Carolina, was fatally shot. The incident occurred around 5 p.m. near Chapel Street. After the shooting, Oxendine was transported by a private vehicle to the Saint Pauls Police Department. Emergency Medical Services responded and took her to a hospital, where she was pronounced dead.

Authorities identified the suspect as 48-year-old Jackie Junior McNair, who was reportedly Oxendine's boyfriend. McNair had been release ...
