On March 24, 2023, a tragic incident unfolded in Roxboro, North Carolina, resulting in the death of 35-year-old Patsy Ann Evelyn Riepe. Police responded to a 911 call shortly after 2:30 p.m. in the 200 block of West Morehead Street, where they discovered one person deceased and two others critically injured from gunshot wounds. Among the injured was Keith Hughes, 34, identified as the alleged shooter, who had sustained a self-inflicted gunshot wound to the head.
