Preston Jones, a 29-year-old resident of Kelford, North Carolina, tragically lost his life on September 9, 2023, in Aulander, NC. The incident occurred just before 10 p.m. on Saturday night when Jones was walking along the sidewalk on South Commerce Street in Aulander.

According to Aulander Police Chief Eddie Hoggard, Jones was shot while walking on the sidewalk. The gunfire reportedly came from a passing vehicle. When authorities arrived at the scene, they found Jones deceased. The sho ...
