Brent Dixon, a 21-year-old male from Greenville, North Carolina, tragically lost his life on April 10, 2025, in a fatal shooting that occurred just outside the town limits of Aulander. The Bertie County Sheriff’s Office launched an investigation into the homicide, which ultimately led to an arrest nearly a month later. Authorities confirmed that Dixon suffered a gunshot wound to the neck, which proved fatal. However, officials have not disclosed any potential motive behind the killing.
