On the evening of September 15, 2023, at approximately 8:02 PM, Raleigh Police Department officers responded to reports of a shooting in the 2500 block of Cedar Forest Way. Upon arrival, they discovered 51-year-old Jesse Oliver suffering from a gunshot wound. He was immediately transported to a local hospital in serious condition.
