On October 1, 2023, in Rocky Point, North Carolina, 50-year-old William Allen Ganey Jr. was fatally shot. Upon arrival, deputies found Ganey on the front porch with a single gunshot wound to the chest. Despite immediate medical attention, he succumbed to his injuries.
