On October 9, 2023, 40-year-old Christopher Andrew Fenty was tragically killed in a shooting incident at Fort Fisher Historic Park near Kure Beach, North Carolina. He was sitting in his vehicle when the assailant approached and fired multiple rounds, striking Fenty several times.
Tragically, one of the bullets passed through Fenty's car and struck a second individual in the head, leaving them in critical condition.
Authorities swiftly arrested 32-year-old Adrian Hall Jr. in connection with the shooting. Hall has been charged with first-degree murder, first-degree attempted murder, and two counts of discharging a firearm into occupied property. He is currently being held without bond at the New Hanover County Detention Facility. A visitation was held on October 25, 2023, followed by a funeral service on October 26, 2023, at Masonboro Baptist Church.
