On October 15, 2023, at approximately 7:30 p.m., Raleigh police responded to a shooting incident in the 1300 block of Durlain Drive, a residential area in North Raleigh. Upon arrival, officers found 55-year-old Richard Harris suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. He was immediately transported to WakeMed Hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries.
