On November 28, 2023, a tragic incident occurred in Winston-Salem, North Carolina, resulting in the deaths of 16-year-old Kaylee Nicole Housden and her 20-year-old brother, Alexander David Housden. Authorities reported that their father, 55-year-old David Lee Housden, fatally shot both of his children before taking his own life in an apparent murder-suicide. The children's mother was present in the home at the time and called 911; she was unharmed.
