On November 29, 2023, Jeremy Greer, 41, of Asheville, North Carolina, was fatally shot following an altercation with an acquaintance. The incident occurred around 10:22 p.m. on Cherry Tree Drive, where deputies found Greer with a gunshot wound. He was transported to Mission Hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries.

The Buncombe County Sheriff's Office arrested 36-year-old Eric Jeron Wilson of Candler, charging him with second-degree murder in connection with Greer's death. Wilson w ...
