On January 23, 2024, 38-year-old Richard (Richie) Andrew Green II of Seagrove, North Carolina, tragically lost his life. Deputies from the Randolph County Sheriff's Office responded to a trespassing report on Osborn Mill Road in Seagrove, where they discovered Green with apparent injuries, including gunshot wounds. Despite immediate CPR efforts by the responding deputy, Green was pronounced dead at the scene.
