On June 7, 2024, at approximately 1:34 p.m., 18-year-old Javon Adair Langston was fatally shot near the entrance of a Food Lion grocery store located at 1805 E. Ash Street in Goldsboro, North Carolina. Responding officers from the Goldsboro Police Department found Langston suffering from a gunshot wound and administered life-saving measures; however, he was pronounced dead at the scene by emergency medical personnel.
