On July 2, 2024, 63-year-old Teresa Anita Polk was found deceased in her home on John Dale Lane in Charlotte, North Carolina. Responding to a call reporting an assault with a deadly weapon, officers from the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department (CMPD) discovered both Ms. Polk and her husband, 65-year-old Michael Eugene Ewing Sr., dead from apparent gunshot wounds.
