On September 14, 2024, at approximately 8:42 a.m., the Rowan County Sheriff's Office received a distressing 911 call from Amanda Burr, reporting a possible homicide at her residence on Old Oak Lane in Woodleaf, North Carolina. Ms. Burr informed dispatchers that her acquaintance, 44-year-old Jonathan Davon Freeman, had sent her a photograph depicting her husband, Bryan Burr, deceased inside their home.
