On January 29, 2023, at approximately 4:15 p.m., 35-year-old Peekskill resident Ricky Brickhouse was fatally shot on Spring Street in Peekskill, New York. Responding officers found Brickhouse with a gunshot wound to his back. They performed life-saving measures and transported him to New York Presbyterian Hudson Valley Hospital. Despite their efforts, Brickhouse succumbed to his injuries three hours later at Westchester Medical Center in Valhalla.
