In the Kirkwood neighborhood of Atlanta, a Friday afternoon in October of 2010 turned tragic for 57-year-old Everett Collins. While walking to a neighbor's house around 1:30 p.m., an armed man approached him near the intersection of Ridgedale Road NE and Norwood Avenue. Mr. Collins, a male, was reportedly on his cellphone at the time of the encounter.
