On August 11, 2023, at approximately 10:35 p.m., 27-year-old Shieer Leggett was fatally shot at the intersection of Main and Schuyler Streets in Cohoes, New York. Responding officers found Leggett with life-threatening injuries; despite immediate medical attention, he was pronounced dead at Albany Medical Center. Witnesses reported a verbal confrontation preceding the gunfire, suggesting the incident was not random.
