In the late hours of an autumn evening in Rochester, New York, the life of 32-year-old Shalar Davy was tragically cut short. On October 5, 2023, just before midnight, police responded to reports of a man shot near the intersection of Portland Avenue and Norton Street. Upon arrival, they discovered Davy on the sidewalk, suffering from gunshot wounds to his chest and abdomen. He was rushed to Strong Memorial Hospital, where he ultimately succumbed to his injuries.
