On a summer evening in Rochester, New York, 19-year-old Rukia Issack, known to her friends as 'Tricky,' was walking down a sidewalk in the Beechwood neighborhood with two teenage boys. The group was on Hazelwood Terrace near Denver Street when gunfire suddenly erupted, shattering the calm of the neighborhood.
