On February 18, 2023, 15-year-old Lydia Samantha Elking of St. Charles, Missouri, tragically lost her life. That evening, Lydia accompanied her 17-year-old boyfriend to a location near Oak Avenue and Perry Street in St. Charles, where he intended to sell marijuana to two individuals. Upon arrival, the prospective buyers, identified as Alex Mason and another teenage male, attempted to rob the couple at gunpoint.
