On July 14, 2024, 34-year-old Alice Marie Darge of Raytown, Missouri, was fatally shot at her residence on Greenwood Road. Responding to reports of a shooting around 6:20 p.m., Raytown police found Darge with a gunshot wound to her midsection. She was transported to a nearby hospital, where she later succumbed to her injuries. Before her passing, Darge identified her assailant as 28-year-old Kansas City resident, Zachary Turley.
