On August 1, 2024, 18-year-old Andrew Townley was fatally shot in Robertsville, Missouri. According to the Franklin County Sheriff's Office, the incident occurred around 8:57 p.m. near the 500 block of Hill Drive. Reports indicate that a man was attacked by two individuals; during the altercation, he retrieved a firearm from his pocket and discharged it, striking Townley.
