In the winter of 2017, the life of 18-year-old Seth C. King, a male resident of Phoenix, Arizona, was tragically cut short. On a Wednesday evening in January, King discovered two individuals allegedly breaking into his neighbor's home. In an act of bravery, he went outside to confront the intruders. Armed with a pellet handgun, King faced the two unknown suspects.
The confrontation took a fatal turn when one of the suspects shot King.
Following the shooting, the two individuals fled the scene in what was described as a late model 4-door car, possibly a Mitsubishi-style vehicle with tinted windows. When authorities arrived, Seth King was pronounced dead at the scene.
In the wake of the shooting, Phoenix police launched an investigation and appealed to the public for any information that might lead to the identification and capture of the suspects. A reward of up to $1,000 was offered through Silent Witness for information leading to an arrest. At the time, his girlfriend, Courtney, remembered him as a hero who was always willing to help others. She recalled that he was attending school and working for a pool company with aspirations of becoming a welder.

King. The case remains a painful memory for his loved ones, who held a barbecue and balloon release in his honor at Paradise Valley Park.
