Death by Force

On April 8, 2024, at approximately 4:21 a.m., Vinton Police Department officers responded to a disturbance in the 800 block of Washington Avenue in Vinton, Virginia. Upon arrival, they discovered 58-year-old Terrence Burton suffering from a gunshot wound and a 43-year-old woman with a stab wound. Both individuals were transported to Roanoke Memorial Hospital, where Mr. Burton succumbed to his injuries; the woman was treated and later released.
