On June 6, 2024, 32-year-old James Edward Hume II was shot in the head on North Dunlop Street near Washington Street in Petersburg, Virginia. He succumbed to his injuries the following day.
Petersburg Police, with assistance from the U.S. Marshals Fugitive Task Force, arrested 23-year-old Lamont Watson Jr. on June 12, 2024.
