On a Friday afternoon, September 6, 2024, the life of 25-year-old Timothy Dylan Farley of Maryland was cut short in a parking lot in Henrico, Virginia. Police responded to a call of a shooting in the 5700 block of Brook Road just before 4:30 p.m. and found Farley deceased inside a vehicle with apparent trauma. His death was quickly determined to be a homicide.
The investigation into the shooting led Henrico Police, in partnership with other law enforcement agencies including the
Lynchburg Police Department, Campbell County Sheriff's Office, and the DEA task force, to identify three suspects. On November 6, 2024, authorities announced the arrests of Mack Banks, 26, of Chesterfield, Ronnie Peterson Jr., 29, of Richmond, and Charles Goode, 22, of Lynchburg, in connection with Farley's death.
Banks and Peterson are facing multiple charges, including attempted robbery, use of a firearm in an attempted robbery, and shooting into an occupied vehicle. All three men, including Goode, were also charged with possession with intent to transport and distribute controlled substances. The investigation into the circumstances surrounding Farley's death remains active.
Known as Dylan to his friends and family, Timothy Dylan Farley was born on October 14, 1998, in Easton, Maryland, and graduated from North Caroline High School in 2016. He was remembered for his kind-hearted nature and his love for travel, hiking, and exploring new places. He is survived by his parents, Melissa and Timothy Farley, and his two brothers.
