On September 14, 2024, 54-year-old Earl Duwan Miller of Woodbridge, Virginia, was fatally shot following an altercation at the Sonic Soft Car Wash on Richmond Highway. The incident began as a verbal dispute between Miller and 25-year-old Jermaine Antwoine Lewis of Springfield, which escalated into a physical confrontation.
