In a tragic event that unfolded in Williamston, South Carolina, 23-year-old Kevin Ernesto Blanco, a Hispanic male, was found deceased on March 3, 2023. The grim discovery was made inside Los Amigos Car Sales on U.S. 29, a business the Blanco family-owned. Responding to a welfare check after the Blancos missed a scheduled car sale, deputies from the Anderson County Sheriff's Office entered the establishment to find both Kevin and his 53-year-old father, Ernesto A.

The investigation into the double homicide quickly led authorities to a suspect. Shamacus Tyrel Adams, a 29-year-old from Anderson, was identified and apprehended in Greenville later that same evening. According to the sheriff's office, Adams had gone to the car dealership with the intention of purchasing a vehicle. During the course of the interaction, Adams allegedly shot and killed both Kevin and Ernesto Blanco. He is also accused of stealing Kevin's wallet and other items from the business before fleeing the scene.
Following his arrest, Shamacus Tyrel Adams was charged with two counts of murder, one count of armed robbery, and one count of possession of a weapon during a violent crime. He was booked into the Anderson County Detention Center. Reports indicate that Adams has an extensive criminal history dating back to 2011. The deaths of Kevin and Ernesto Blanco prompted an outpouring of support for their family from the local community, including the establishment of a GoFundMe campaign to assist them during their time of grief.
