Steven Grant, a 32-year-old Black man from Savannah, was fatally shot on April 28, 2016, outside a residence on Kandlewood Drive near Cindy Avenue. Officers responded just after 5 a.m. and found him critically wounded. He was taken to Memorial University Medical Center, but later that afternoon police announced that he had died from his injuries.
