On April 25, 2024, 25-year-old Megan Faith Bodiford from Denmark, South Carolina, was reported missing after sending a distressing message to a friend, expressing fear that her boyfriend, Jarrett Davis, might harm her.

Five days later, on April 30, authorities discovered Bodiford's remains inside her burned vehicle near Turn Ray Road in Bamberg County.
