In the late hours of a Thursday in Seabrook, South Carolina, the quiet of Martin Lane was shattered by the sound of gunfire. Inside his home, 26-year-old Trevon Malik Watson, a Black male, was struck by a single gunshot. First responders arrived at the scene shortly after 11 p.m. on May 23, 2024, to find him deceased.
