In the summer of 2024, the life of a young man from Walterboro, South Carolina, was tragically cut short. Dominick Mays, a 21-year-old Black male, was fatally shot on the evening of June 25th in North Charleston. The incident occurred on Sightline Drive, in the vicinity of Palmetto Commerce Parkway, an area near Ladson. When officers from the North Charleston Police Department arrived at the scene, they discovered Mays deceased from a gunshot wound.
