In the early morning hours of Thursday, August 8, 2024, amidst the wind and rain of a tropical storm, the life of 42-year-old Martin Karl Reiff, Jr. was tragically cut short. A male resident of Patrick, South Carolina, he was an unsuspecting passenger in a vehicle traveling down Cane Mill Crossing Road in Chesterfield County. It was there, at approximately 4:30 a.m., that the car was met with gunfire.
