In March of 2023, the life of 32-year-old Curtis Maurice Vaughn, a Black/African American male from Oxford, Mississippi, was tragically cut short. His family last had contact with him around 11 p.m. on March 20th and reported him missing the following day. The search for Vaughn ended grimly on the afternoon of March 22, 2023, when his body was discovered near the Water Valley Municipal Airport in Yalobusha County.
