On June 18, 2023, 29-year-old Bryan Keith Eggleston Jr. of Pattison, Mississippi, was fatally shot while seated in a vehicle near a gas pump at the Pattison Mini Mart. Surveillance footage revealed that 34-year-old Antonio Nicholas arrived at the scene in a blue Chevrolet Tahoe and fired multiple rounds at Eggleston. Following the shooting, Eggleston was transported by private vehicle to the Claiborne County Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead upon arrival.
