Dimitri Manick, known to many as "D," was fatally shot on January 2, 2017, in downtown Atlanta. He was 39 years old and became the city’s first homicide victim of that year. The incident occurred on Broad Street SW, where Manick was shot in the head. Friends and acquaintances remembered him as a "good dude," someone who had left a positive impression on those who knew him.
